Leather care
Care for your slippers
With proper care, your handcrafted leather slippers will develop a beautiful patina and last for years.
Daily care
Daily care
After each use, wipe your slippers with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and surface dirt. This simple habit prevents buildup and keeps the leather looking fresh.
Allow your slippers to air out between wears. The leather needs to breathe and release moisture absorbed during use.
Conditioning
Conditioning
Apply a quality leather conditioner every 2-3 months to keep the leather supple and prevent cracking. Use a small amount and work it in with circular motions.
Let the conditioner absorb for at least 30 minutes before wearing. For best results, condition in the evening and let sit overnight.
Drying wet leather
Drying wet leather
If your slippers get wet, stuff them with newspaper or paper towels to absorb moisture and maintain their shape. Replace the stuffing as it becomes damp.
Let them dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources. This may take 24-48 hours for full drying.
Storage
Storage
Store your slippers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use shoe trees or stuff with tissue paper to help maintain their shape.
If storing for extended periods, place them in a breathable dust bag. Avoid plastic bags which can trap moisture.
What to avoid
What to avoid
Water and moisture: Leather and water don't mix well. Avoid wearing your slippers in wet conditions.
Harsh chemicals: Never use household cleaners, alcohol, acetone, or bleach on leather - they cause permanent damage.
Excessive heat: Keep away from radiators, fireplaces, and don't leave in hot cars.
Common questions

How often should I condition my slippers?
Every 2-3 months for regular use, or monthly if worn daily.
Can I wear them outside?
Our slippers are designed for indoor use. Occasional short trips outside are fine, but regular outdoor use will wear the soles faster.
How do I remove stains?
For light stains, use a damp cloth. For oil stains, sprinkle cornstarch and let sit overnight. For stubborn stains, consult a professional.
